About Us

Bright Beginnings was founded in 1983 by Marc and Sally Whitehouse. They had a vision for clothing Austin's children & grandchildren which they carried out for many years. In 2000, BestDressedKids.com was started as the online sister store to the brick and mortar. When Marc and Sally became grandparents they decided that they wanted to spend more time with their family. However, they wanted the great reputation of Bright Beginnings and Best Dressed Kids to continue, so they found a buyer who would work hard to continue serving customers well by providing great products and excellent customer service.

In 2017, Katy and Joe Williamson took over the day-to-day operations of Bright Beginnings Boutique. They changed locations, but continued the same great customer service. Over the next five years, and even through a worldwide pandemic, the shop continued thriving thanks to its loyal customers. Katy and her family relocated in 2021 and the search for a new owner began.

In 2023, Kelli & Alex Bellon became the new owners of the shop. The original vision of Bright Beginnings remains true, listen carefully to what our customers want, seek out the best pieces offered by the best companies, and provide exceptional customer service to Austin families and beyond. We look forward to many many more years of serving the community and cherishing all the new memories that come along.
